Sway, which is included in the O365 suite of applications, is a digital story-telling app for creating and sharing interactive reports, presentations, personal stories, and more. Similarly to PowerPoint, you can use Sway to create presentations and share a link to your Sway with others.
Sway also includes an analytics tool that shows you how many times your presentation has been viewed. This feature is useful when you share learning materials via Sway. With the analytics tool, you can monitor how carefully your students have read the pre-class materials.
What do I need?
You need a finished Sway presentation that you have shared with your students.
What do I need to do?
Go to the O365 app launcher and select Sway. The Sway main page appears as below.
Click on the Analytics tab. The tab shows you all the Sways you have shared and, for example, how long each user spent viewing the presentation.
What should I take into account?
You must first share your Sway before it appears in the Analytics tab. If you have not shared your Sway, it will not show up. Likewise, your Sway will not show up in the tab if no one has viewed it. If that is indeed the case, give your students a nudge to read the presentation, or move the link to your Sway to a more prominent location on your course platform!
The Viewed tab shows the Sways you have viewed. Enjoy using Sway!
