Child Victim Survey is a national survey to children and adolescents which extensively disentangles children’s and adolescent’s experiences in violence, threatening and bullying in different aspects of life. It also investigates leisure activities, experiences in sexual intercourse and perceived health. The survey has been implemented before in 2008 and 2013 and in 2013 about 11 300 6th and 9th graders participated. This Spring 6825 pupils answered the survey. The survey provides basic information on violence against children which is needed to reduce the phenomenon and to improve related government activities. The Child Victim Survey has provided vital information not only for researchers but also for professionals working with children and young people in different fields.
