Designing Automated Transport Systems

During the course students will make a plan for an automated transport system through a guided process of familiariasing with the planning area, developing solution concepts and analysing the solutions' impacts on key performance indicators

Learning outcomes:

  • Understand the overall design context including different requirements and stakeholders relevant to the automated transport systems
  • Comprehend the impact of human characteristics in the design of automated transport systems
  • Apply human-centred design methods to solve the most common design issues related to automated transport systems in an operational design domain

Course Level: Advanced

Pre-requisites: Recommended completion of the preceding ENACT courses

  • Introduction to automated transport systems, 5 ECTS
  • at least one of:
    • Hardware, software and design of automated vehicles, 5 ECTS
    • Regulations, ethics, safety and security of automated transport systems, 5 ECTS
    • Business models of automated transport systems, 5 ECTS.

Scope: 10 ECTS
