The group explored and tried out Sote Virtual Lab’s technologies, such as the Yeti tablet, VR glasses, sensory wall, vibroacoustic beanbag , Evondos medication robot, Somnox sleep robot, Pepper robot, and Taikaseinä (pictured). The visit was a very positive experience for all participants. They were excited about the technologies and how they can support their independence and well-being. Taitola members felt that the visit opened new perspectives and inspired them about the possibilities of technology. The opportunities offered by virtual reality, in particular, sparked a lot of interest and discussion among the group.
The visit also generated new ideas on how Taitola could utilize technology in its activities. For example, the use of virtual reality could be expanded as part of daily activities, allowing participants to practice various skills and experience new sensations in a safe environment. The visit also strengthened the collaboration between Taitola and TAMK, and more joint projects and visits are expected in the future.
