How have you used something that you learned during your MEL studies in practice?

The MEL studies helped me in shaping my leadership style, especially in the field of managing human capital. Knowing my own personality by itself is not enough to be successful, being able to choose the best possible strategy to interact, make a decision, advise, or react to conflict is even more important. I’ve learned to apply the following guide in case of uncertainty: I ask myself, “Does this choice benefit your people?” If the answer is “yes,” I go for it. If the answer is “no” or “maybe,” I look for another option. Simple it is.

How have you grown since enrolling in the MEL programme?

Joining the MEL program is one of the best things that has ever happened to me! It has helped me in so many ways to grow and become a stronger individual both personally and professionally. I feel that I am more aware of myself including my strengths and weaknesses than before. Meantime, as a mother of three being a student again kind of embedded the value of lifelong learning in their minds.  The program itself was challenging like completing an obstacle course while you were consistently encouraged to step out of your comfort zone. And I have to admit, I’ve enjoyed it a lot!
