Through a strong connection to professional working life, students receive training in orchestral playing, audition preparation, and performance. Teaching mainly takes place at the Tampere Music Academy, located on TAMK’s main campus. The annual orchestra period included in the collaboration is organized together with the Tampere Philharmonic at Tampere Hall. The teachers, or coaches, are the principal players and musicians of the Tampere Philharmonic. The Orchestra Academy provides active instruction throughout the entire academic year.
