It was a pleasant coincidence to have the International Day of Women and Girls in Science fall on the same day for the Aalto Optica Student Chapter to visit us here in TAU. The members from Aalto University were received by us in the morning where a guided tour of the labs pertaining to different research groups were visited…
After lunch, a visit to three of the successful spin off companies from the ORC group at TAU, Picophotonics, RefleKron and Vexlum was arranged.
Of course, where’s the fun in science without some enjoyment from having pizza and relaxing in a sauna, followed by a small quiz game?
And finally, it doesn’t feel fitting to bid a farewell without a group photo with us all !!!
