This year’s Women in Science celebration at Tampere University brought together students and researchers for cake and coffee last week and was hosted by the Optica and SPIE Student Chapters.
To show our community’s support and unity, we displayed heartfelt messages from attendees, motivating words and wishes for women in photonics, on the big screen. Whether anonymous or signed, these messages served as a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusivity and encouragement in STEM fields.
Through small but impactful moments like these, we continue to foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all scientists.
