The “Workshop on Research Writing” organized by Optica Student Chapter together with PREIN support took place on the 12th of April at Tampere University.
During the lecture participants were given the guides about the article submission process of the Optica journals as well as insights from the reviewing and editing experts in the Photonics field regarding the writing style, common mistakes and their own experience. Then, the participant had the chance to write an abstract within 40-50 minutes for its own project based on the knowledge and hints gained during the lecture. Each participant received individual comments and feedback on their work.
After the workshop everyone gathered for the social networking part of the event supported by PREIN including two parts, a Laser tag game and a diner in the in city center.
