Optica
- Professional organization in the field of optics and photonics
- ~22 000 members internationally
- Publishes journals and organizes conferences and events
- The main mission is to promote optics and photonics both scientifically and educationally
Student Chapter
- Group of students (Optica members) located in some area (e.g. university)
- Organize activities for the benefit of the students (PhD, undergraduate) and the community
- Technical knowledge, career development, outreach
- Funding and support from Optica
