A word about SPIE and our student chapter…

 

The Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers, now known as SPIE is a non-profit organization dedicated to optics and photonics. They offer to connect professionals, students and employers through their networks, community resources and conferences.

Our Student Chapter serves as a vital bridge to this global community in collaborate with colleagues, build leadership skills, network with industry professionals, and secure funding for exciting scientific outreach projects. Joining our chapter is a step toward unlocking exclusive academic resources and some international career pathways.

Steps to become a member

① Create an Account

If you already have an account, its one less step. But if not, creating an account is easy!!

② Choose a plan

As a bachelor’s or master’s student, you have the most valuable plan.

It costs just 20$ for an entire year, which can be renewed as long as the student status is valid.

Doctoral researchers are also eligible for this option. Do not miss out on this!

Additional plans are available, which can be used for outgoing students too. Once the account is created, they will automatically be displayed. Check them out.

If you happen to be an international exchange student, you might be eligible for a 50% discount on the normal 20$ annual fee under special consideration.

Once you have selected the student option, associate yourself with our student chapter.

International and exchange students are free to use their home university association too in place of ours.
