The Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) at Tampere Universities is a collaborative network that brings together pedagogical expertise and provides the information and services that teachers need. The TLC network promotes opportunities for the members of our community to pursue professional development and enhance their teaching expertise. TLC supports everyone involved in teaching within our community by fostering collaboration and networking.
Our activities are based on the educational strategy of Tampere Universities, which emphasises higher education pedagogy that supports competence development, integrates teaching with new research knowledge, and promotes collaborative innovation and development efforts with industry, business and the public sector. In addition, our activities are aligned with the pedagogical guidelines of Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
The core team – comprising representatives from Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences – coordinates the operations of the TLC network. The team works closely with specialists and other stakeholders. The TLC Steering Group, made up of representatives from both higher education institutions, provides strategic guidance for the network’s activities.
