Study and Learn is a Copilot Chat AI agent designed specifically to support learning. Its core idea is simple: AI does not provide ready-made answers, but instead guides the student to learn.
The agent acts as interactive support for learning. It asks questions, creates learning activities, guides the student step by step toward solutions, and adapts to the student’s prior knowledge and needs. Instead of giving a direct answer, it helps the student build understanding, solve problems, and develop their own thinking. The key is immediate feedback and continuous interaction, which help identify misunderstandings and strengthen competence.
What do I need to do?
The Study and Learn agent can be found in the M365 service. Sign in with your TUNI account.
On the left side of the page, you will see the Agents heading and the Study and Learn agent beneath it. If the agent is not visible, you can go to All agents or use the direct link: https://aka.ms/studyandlearn. You can also easily share this direct link with students.
The agent is already prepared to support learning in whatever topic the user chooses. You do not need to train it yourself, but can start studying your chosen topic with it right away. Students can also go directly to the Study and Learn agent page and tell it what topic they want to start discussing and studying.
With the Study and Learn agent, you can start discussing the topic you want to learn. It asks questions and engages in conversation with you. It also assesses your skill level and prior knowledge of the subject. You can also ask the agent to test your knowledge during the conversation. The text field also includes speech recognition, so in addition to typing, you can interact with it by voice.

Below the text field, you can choose from different task types and ask the agent to create activities on the topic you are studying. You can also provide material on which the activity will be based.

In a course, the Study and Learn agent could serve as learning support or as a tutor. Conversations are visible only to the student, and the agent is a tireless discussion partner that can explain and review the topic again and again. In the conversation, the student is helped to progress step by step from their current level, and learning is reinforced through active practice such as questions and quizzes.
