Welcome to the WiBEN public lectures. On this occasion, we will be listening to and speaking with Doina Petrescu, Professor of Architecture and Design Activism at the University of Sheffield and co-founder of atelier d’architecture autogérée (aaa). Doina's research focuses on issues of urban resilience in relation to urban commons, co-production, feminism and politics of space. Her lecture is titled Designing urban commons: Feminist concerns from the ground.
WiBEN public lectures, entitled People, Space and, Gender, looks forward to showcasing the work of women architects and planners as well as women researchers investigating women’s experiences of urban space who are engaging in and with feminist and decolonial theoretical debates and philosophical perspectives.
