Your problem doesn’t have to be big — what matters most is the idea itself, its ingenuity and creativity. Implementation is important, but we appreciate fresh ideas and the bold thinking just as much.
You can participate in the idea competition until 29 January 2026. We will select the most exciting and inspiring ideas, which will be showcased on Tuesday 3 February at the FabLab 10th Anniversary event. The audience of the event gets to vote for the winning idea!
We’ll reward the top three ideas and the prototypes. The grand prize is a € 100 FabLab gift card for the materials. Those placing 2nd and 3rd will be awarded a €30 FabLab gift card.
Send a picture or video of your idea and the prototype, along with a short description, to fablabtampere@tuni.fi by 29 January. You can also bring the original model to our service desk.
