FabLab will open on Tue 18.8. with special arrangements

Fablab will be open from Tue 18.8. and our opening times are Mon-Fri 9-16. To enable a safe workspace, routines have been changed and the number of people working in the room at the same time is limited.

When you come to work, please observe the following rules:

– You can only work in the space completely healthy (you cannot enter to campus when you are sick / quarantined)

– Wash and use hand sanitiser when you come to FabLab

– Wear protective equipment: working in FabLab requires disposable gloves and a face mask (available in the room)

– Register to the FabLab service desk (we collect the list of names working in the Lab)

– Keep a safe distance of 2 meters with others whenever possible

– Clean your work area and equipment / machine with a disinfectant wipes when you have finished working

– Customer limitation: a maximum of 10 customers + FabLab staff at the same time in the Lab (if necessary, we will limit the number of people)

– You can work max. in pairs of two people in the Lab, group work in the space is not possible

FabLab devices can be booked from the university’s reservation system Resource Booker. Due to the prevailing situation the smallest laser cutter (Trotec) has been transferred to the system. Remember to make a reservation for this device in advance as well.

The Kalmar room has limited use. Ask the staff for a key card if you want to work in the room.

FabLab’s four computers for file designing are not in use.

At the moment we do not hold any FabLab infos or other events on the premises, nor do we hold public days. Visits to the premises by any small groups must be agreed in advance.

Despite these new temporary rules, we hope for an imaginative autumn season and continue cooperation with you! Let’s keep the Fablab as a safe working space for all of us.

Due to the Corona situation, the above rules apply for the time being. We will update the guidelines when needed and notify the changes in Intra and the FabLab website.
