The SIE project will integrate diverse knowledge and experts regarding both Green, Circular Economy and Environmental sustainability, and Digitalization particularly in manufacturing and in industrial scale actions. Green and digital tools are tools and services that enable, accelerate and promote information-based innovation & sustainability in the energy and manufacturing industries.

Finland’s rise from the emergency (caused by the pandemic) and success in global competition requires the generation of new knowledge, innovations that bring social benefits and added value, and a high level of competence. This is why the SIE will address the three pillars of sustainability (economic, social, and environmental) using digitalization, automation, analytics and robotics to solve the challenges in multidisciplinary research work.
