Quality arises from doing together
Quality label from the Finnish Education Evaluation Centre (FINEEC) is the highest recognition in the Finnish education field. TAMK had its quality management system audited in autumn 2021 and got a full report from FINEEC in February 2022 along with the quality label that is valid for six years. FINEEC described TAMK as a competent and inspiring working community with an incentive to co-development. TAMK’s brand going strong
TAMK is proud of its reputation as the most appealing university of applied sciences in Finland. The trend has been steady and strong for years. TAMK is appreciated especially for its working life connections and its internationality. These observations can be read in the brand survey of Finnish higher education institutions (Taloustutkimus Oy) in spring 2022.
TAMK persons of the year set an example
Physiotherapy student Petri Salminen was nominated the Student of the year, Senior Lecturer Hannu Tuhkanen the Teacher of the year, and Mirja Onduso the staff member of the year. Common to all of them is their consideration for other TAMK community members, respect and open cooperation. The credits were given by the Students’ Union Tamko and TAMK Foundation. Doors open to our partners
In April 2022, TAMK hosted two big events. MELposium 2022 was symposium for Master’s in Educational Leadership students, alumni and staff in Tampere in April. The three-day programme was filled with speakers, round table discussions and poster presentations as well as local cultural and social activities.
In over a decade’s time, TAMK’s international week has become a well-known and high-quality event in which our partner institutions want to participate year after year. The event, now called Eye on TAMK, brings colleagues together to discuss current issues. The theme of 2022 was topical and on everyone’s lips – digitalisation of education.
Christmas concert lifted community spirit in Tampere
As a grande finale for the year, TAMK Music organized The Christmas Concert of All Times at Tampere Cathedral. More than a thousand people gathered to enjoy a festive atmosphere and Christmassy music from various decades performed by a hundred young musicians. The concert was awarded as the TAMK Act of year 2022.
