Despite these exceptional times, TAMK’s financial status is good. The biggest negative impact in 2020 was seen in the international activity and the sales on TAMK’s education and services.

The RDI projects funded by external resources proceeded as planned which raised the financial result to meet the income target. The expenses from travelling reduced by 0.7 million euros compared to the previous year as a consequence of exchanges and other travelling stopping almost completely.

TAMK’s investments totaled ca 3 million euros and were mainly directed to improve and upgrade learning environments. One of the biggest investments was the rearranging of facilities for music education.

The annual budget of Tampere University of Applied Sciences in 2020 was 74 million euros.
