Number of international students is growing. In 2020, TAMK had 633 foreign degree or teacher education students. Their number rose by 14% compared to 2019. More than 60% of foreign students come from non-EU/EEA countries: most from Vietnam, China, Russia, Bangladesh and Kenya.

The growing number of international students can also be seen in the number of graduates: the number of bachelor’s degrees completed by international students rose by 25% and master’s degrees by 38% compared to 2019.

TAMK has international cooperation networks with 355 partner institutions in 55 countries. The partnerships offer students and staff possibilities for exchanges, cooperation projects and double degree studies.

TAMK’s international education sales have been on the rise in recent years. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the growth slowed down, yet the total income from education export was 1.2 million euros in 2020.

The growing number of students coming from non-EU/EEA countries contributed to the total income in the form of tuition fees summing up to 336 400 euros.
