About the Network

The Nordic Company Law Network aims to improve cooperation between Nordic researchers and to increase interest in comparative law research. It also aims to deepen cooperation with our European colleagues. The aim is to improve the quality of research in company law, which is understood in a broad sense. The aim is to produce practically relevant research that reaches businesses, practitioners and key stakeholders.

In addition, the network provides a platform for researchers at different stages of their careers and helps doctoral students to achieve their goals and provides them with insights into the field of company law.

Means

  • Organising company law conferences in different Nordic countries (in English) welcoming colleagues also from outside the Nordic countries (Nordic and international perspectives)
  • Discussions on company law topics & ongoing and future projects relevant for companies and practitioners
  • Cooperation with other European colleagues
  • Raising awareness of legislative developments, court decisions and novel research in company law in the Nordics
  • Encouraging joint Nordic research on company law and joint research projects – joint project funding
  • Promoting the international mobility of company law scholars and doctoral students
  • Organising PhD seminars
  • Promoting cooperation on the assessment of doctoral theses

Membership is open to active researchers and practitioners in the field.

The working language is English, though activities in Nordic languages are also welcome—especially to support PhD students.

We invite you to explore our activities and join the dialogue on the development of Nordic company law.
