Shareholders’ agreements (SHAs) are common in all Nordic countries. Like other commercial contracts, SHAs are legally binding between the parties who have joined it. That said, since SHAs contain provisions related to the company, there is uncertainty to what extent they are enforceable at company law level. The purpose of the webinar is to address this question from the perspective of Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Each speaker represents one country and after the presentations it may be concluded if there is a common Nordic understanding on the binding force of SHAs.
