Terms of Use for Exam Facilities

The Terms of Use for Exam Facilities apply from the moment you enter the exam room. The exam rooms are equipped with surveillance cameras to monitor electronic exams and the use of the facilities. If you do not follow the Terms of Use for Exam Facilities, your exam submission may be rejected. In cases of suspected misconduct, the university’s guidelines will be followed.

 

1. Access to the exam room is only permitted for those with a valid exam booking.

If you do not have a booking, you are not allowed to enter the exam room.

 

2. Students must have a recommendation for individual arrangements or a separately agreed permission to use the accessible exam room of their own higher education institution.

The accessible exam room is intended only for students of the respective institution who require a separate exam room, assistive devices, accessible entry, or personal assistance during the exam.

 

3. Avoid using fragrances in exam rooms.

Please be considerate of others and avoid strong scents and aftershaves on campus.

 

4. You must bring your student card (physical) or another photo ID to verify your identity.

You must be able to prove your identity upon request during the exam.

 

5. Only the following items are allowed in the exam room: student card (physical) or photo ID, access card (physical) and possible locker key.

You may not bring, for example, a phone, smartwatch, smart glasses or other technical aids, calculator, dictionary, literature or other materials, scratch paper, pen, snacks, or water bottle to the exam location.

Leave your outerwear (coat, beanie, etc.), bag and other belongings in the lockers provided for exam takers, typically located outside the exam room.

Please note that at Tampere University, there are exam rooms where lockers or coat racks are located inside the exam room: A203d and A026 in Päätalo, A218 in Kampusareena, and the exam room at University Consortium of Seinäjoki. In these exam rooms, you are allowed to bring your belongings inside the exam room for storage.

If you need medical aids or other individual arrangements during the exam, these must be agreed upon in advance.

 

6. Use your personal access card to enter the exam room.

Always scan your access card, even if you enter the room at the same time as another exam taker.

Note: An exception is the electronic exam room in the Virta building. In the Virta building’s exam room Virta 123, a new access procedure will be introduced on 1 October 2025. News on the intranet.

7. Absolute silence must be maintained in the exam room.

 

8. The reserved exam time must be followed in the exam room.

Enter the room only shortly before your reservation begins (max. 5 minutes early) to allow the previous exam taker to finish their exam in peace.

Leave the exam room immediately after completing your exam or when your reservation ends.

 

9. You may not leave the room during the exam.

You may exit only after submitting or cancelling your exam.

 

10. In case of a fire alarm, you must leave the room immediately.

Submit or cancel your exam, as you cannot continue it after leaving the room.

 

11. Report any suspected misconduct to the exam supervisor.
