City Centre Atalpa

There is a sports hall, group exercise room, stretching room and two gyms, which are mainly used by the university.  Campusta Oy is responsible of the maintenance of the facilities and sports equipment.

Sports hall

The sports hall (852m²) can be divided into three sectors. Different ball games can be played, such as floorball, futsal, volleyball, basketball and badminton. There is a pulastic floor surface on the court.

Group exercise room

Built in 2011, the air-conditioned multi-function room (300m²) is used for group exercise classes. There are dumbbells, strength bars, aerobics mats, power bands, step boards and punching bags.

Stretching room

The floor in the stretching room (60m²) is covered with tatami, which makes it suitable for practicing different sports, such as martial arts, stretching and other group exercise classes. TRX suspension trainers and gymnastic rings makes it easy to do functional training. There are also other strength training equipment.

Gyms

The gyms (80m² and 220m²) have high-quality Matrix and Gym80 equipment. There are treadmills, rowing machines, cross trainers and exercise bikes for warming up. The equipment is maintained twice a year and additionally when needed. There are also televisions to watch while warming up.

Outdoor gym

The new Outdoor gym is located in the courtyard of the Main Building. Various kinds of exercises can be perfomed in this fitness park with the help of bodyweight, barbells, ropes etc.

Customer service

Customer services are available during opening hours in Atalpa ground floor. Campusta Oy  staff will help you e.g. with questions and problems related to the sports fee and the access card.

Changing rooms

Upstairs in Atalpa (entrance floor) there are two changing rooms for women and one changing room for men. The changing rooms have toilet (also disabled toilet) and washing facilities. In the entrance hall you will also find men’s and women’s toilets and disabled toilet.
Downstairs in Atalpa there are men’s, women’s and unisex changing rooms with toilets and washing facilities. There are also saunas in men’s and women’s dressing rooms. Disabled toilet is located in the corridor.
