Important reminders concerning badminton!

Badminton time slot reservations have been free of charge on each campus since 1 January, 2019 and they are very popular.

A few reminders about the badminton rules so that everyone will have equal possibilities to book the time slots:

  • For the customers of SportUni the badminton time slots are free of charge but all the external users will ALWAYS need to pay a one-time-fee of 6 € when coming to play. This payment can be done to the customer service desk with credit card, cash or ePassi.
  • A SportUni customer may exceptionally bring ONE person outside of SportUni community to play badminton with them if necessary (for a fee of 6 €).
  • You may reserve maximum of three slots per week on all of the three campuses with your own tuni-credentials.
  • You should NOT make reservations JUST IN CASE, which means if you have reserved a time slot but cannot use it, please do remember to cancel it at least one day before the time slot via My page. This allows the time slot to be reserved by other customers. In case you need to cancel within 24 hours of your time slot, please inform the customer service of the corresponding campus immediately.
  • The time slots for the following week appear in the calendar and can be reserved on Thursdays at 9 AM.
  • Everyone takes care of setting up and taking down the badminton net and putting the equipment NEATLY back.
  • If you do not have your own equipment with you, it is possible to buy/rent a racket and shuttlecocks on each campus.

Unfortunately we have found sadly many unused time slots during this autumn, when the time slot is not used nor cancelled and therefore the time slot has not returned back to the system for others to book. For this reason we will make some more efficient controlling regarding the unused reservations and if needed we will change the rules for the unused and non-cancelled time slots.

We wish that every SportUni customer has an equal chance to book these very popular badminton time slots!

Thank you in advance for the cooperation and we wish you will have fun playing badminton!

Best regards, SportUni staff
