Tampere University entrance exams affect the opening hours and services of SportUni Centres. You always find the up-to-date opening hours on SportUni Sports Centre website.
SportUni Hervanta
2/3 of Tamppi Areena ball games hall in Hervanta is reserved for the entrance exams during 20.5.-5.6.2026.
In Hervanta, the entire sport centre is closed during the examinations days:
- Mon 25.5. klo 6-21
- Mon 1.6. klo 6-16:30
- Wed 3.6. klo 6-21
- Thu 4.6. klo 12-21
SportUni City Centre
The entrance exams also affect the services of SportUni City Centre, Atalpa.
The ball games hall is closed 20.5.-8.6 and group exercise room is closed 21.5.-8.6. The group exercise room may open for use already on 6.6.
The gym and the changing and washing rooms are normally open in accordance with summer opening hours.
Group exercise class arrangements
SportUni City Centre group exercise classes are held outdoors or in the stretching room at the basement during the exams. Saturday classes are held in SportUni Kauppi. The location is shown in the class information in the selection calendar. Due to limited space, the maximum number of participants in the classes is smaller than usual.
The stretching room is located on the ground floor of Atalpa (gym floor). All classes held outdoors are marked in the selection calendar at the outdoor gym, which also refers to the grass area next to the outdoor gym. The outdoor gym is located in the courtyard of the Main Building, up the stairs and to the right from Atalpa. In case of rain, outdoor classes will be held under a shelter at the end of the E-wing of the Main Building (near the outdoor gym). In some cases, the outdoor class may be moved indoors to the stretching room. In such a case, those who have registered for the class will be notified by email and the information will be updated in the selection calendar.
If you participate an outdoor class, please pick up the equipment from the Atalpa lobby. The instructor will leave a note in the lobby with information about the equipment needed. In the stretching room all needed equipment can be found on site.
The entrance exams will also cause some cancellations to the group exercise classes at SportUni Kauppi and SportUni Hervanta. Up-to-date information can always be found in the selection calendar.
SportUni Kauppi
There are also TAMK’s entrance exams in SportUni Kauppi. The whole upstairs (second floor) is closed Wed 20.5. – Fri 22.5.2026 at 7.00-11. This also causes minor changes to group exercise classes. Otherwise SportUni Kauppi is open normally.
