The Regional State Administrative Agency of Western and Inner Finland has ordered customer and public premises inside in Pirkanmaa to be closed between 8.1.2022 and 21.1.2022. The decision is based on section 58g of the Communicable Diseases Act. Though the decision allows to open lower risk action such as gyms, badminton and climbing.
SportUni will open gyms, badminton and climbing from 8 Jan. All the actions you need to book a shift from SportUni Selection Calendar. The new shifts for next week will be booked in the calendar every Thursday at 8.45. In Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th there are no shifts to the gym, but the number of visitors are limited – you do not need to book a shift on Sat 8th or Sun 9th.
Group exercise online
Also the new group exercise season starts online. You find the schedule on SportUni selection calendar under “Other locations”. You can join streamed group exercise classes by joining SportUni Live Facebook group if you have paid the SportUni fee.
The digital platform Yogobe is also included as a part of your SportUni fee. During the lock down do online training as recordings in Panopto videoservice.
SportUni courses for spring season will be informed later.
Please follow the hygiene guidelines in SportUni Centres:
- do not visit the facilities if you are unwell
- remember safety distances – avoid close contacts to others
- practice good hand hygiene
- wear a mask when you are not exercising
- clean the equipment after use
Changes in the entrance to the SportUni City Centre
From now on, the doors of the SportUni City Centre are always locked. You will have access to the Sport centre with a student or staff card.
- Student / staff of TAU City centre campus with paid SportUni fee: the card works automatically.
- Student / staff of TAU Hervanta with paid sports fee: if the card does not work, activate it at the TAU City centre campus info desk at the Main building.
- Student / staff of TAMK with paid sports fee: activate your card at the TAU City centre campus info desk at the Main building. After that the access rights will be added to your card at SportUni City centre customer service desk.
During the opening hours of the customer service (Mon-Thu 9.00-22.00, Fri 9.00-21.00, Sat-Sun 10.00-19.00) you can also enter without access card.
