The spring season group exercise classes are now available in the Selection Calendar.
A wide range of group exercise classes is offered in three Sport Centres. Based on wishes and the number of visitors, spin classes have been further increased in Kauppi within the limits of the hall capacity. Vinyasa flow yoga will start as a new class in Kauppi, replacing Power yoga. During the spring season, you can Zumba on Kauppi Wednesday evenings, and now you can also join a live-stream stretching class.
Box&Body returns to the City Centre and as a new classes will start Mobility&Foamroll, Tabata and StepBody. Tabata is an energetic full-body workout that develops very successfully endurance and muscle fitness.
Based on wishes, Hervanta’s offer of dance classes will increase, when DanceChoreo, which is extremely popular in the City Centre, will also be included in Hervanta’s schedule. In addition, WholeWorks, which is versatile class suitable for everyone, makes a return to Hervanta and gives a great start to the weekend on Friday afternoons.
As a new activity, SportUni will start an open livestream break exercise “ButtUp!” aimed for the whole Tuni community, on Tuesday afternoons from 14:00 to 14:15. – We also want to support the entire university community to become active during the work and study day, says Sini Niskala, who is responsible for instructed sport services at SportUni. It’s easy to do break exercise from a class, from home or from office. This is worth putting on the calendar every week! – Niskala continues.
Spring group exercise season is between 8 Jan – 5 May. During the winter holiday week 9, part of the classes are on break and during Easter 29 March -1 April and on May Day 30 April – 1 May there are no scheduled classes.
The SportUni fee includes unlimited participation in group exercise classes at all three SportUni Centres. If you don’t have a SportUni fee for spring (valid until July 31 2024), you can easily buy it online. You can check your own SportUni fee period on SportUni my page.
