SportUni takes part in Wellbeing week!

Students give high fives indoors

The Wellbeing Week, organized by TREY and Tamko, will be celebrated from October 21st to 26th, 2024, with the theme 'Back to Basics,' focusing on the core pillars of wellbeing. At Monday's Wellbeing Fair, you can, for example, measure your body composition and participate in active breaks. On Thursday, the popular Pastor's Divine Spin Class will take place! You can also get support for starting a more active daily routine with free exercise counseling.

Body Composition Measurement 21 Oct at 11am-2pm

Place: Wellbeing Fair, main lobby of the university’s central campus

SportUni’s partner Hämeen Liikunta ja Urheilu ry, HLU performs body composition measurements at the Well-being fair.

The price of the measurement is 10 €. You can pay by card or MobilePay.

The InBody measurement is a versatile and safe way to monitor changes in the body and track the results of your training. The measurement takes about a minute and is done barefoot.

Take a break with movement on 21st October at 11:30 and 13:30

Location: Wellbeing Fair, main lobby of the university’s central campus

Is your energy level in need of a boost, or do you want tips for your own break exercises? Join the active breaks at the Wellbeing Fair! Each session lasts about 5 minutes.

Pastor’s Divine Spin on 24th October from 14:00 to 15:00

Location: SportUni Kauppi, group exercise room

How does going back to basics sound? – in this class, you’ll pedal towards the core of wellbeing!

This indoor cycling class improves endurance and supports mental resilience with a humorous touch. The class alternates between moderate-intensity work and recovery periods, led by both a spinning instructor and a campus pastor.

Participation is free and does not require a fitness membership.

The purpose of sports consultation is to guide individuals who are not physically active enough for their health toward a more active lifestyle. If you don’t have health issues preventing you from increasing physical activity, but you need personal guidance, exercise counseling is the right option for you.
