Welcome to use MoveMate Teams!

Through the MoveMate channel, you can look for new friends in the Tampere Universities community to join you in the exercise. Here you can gather a group for sports hobbies, jogging or walking, group exercise or just follow the news and pick up tips for exercising independently. You can freely arrange meetings on campuses, in the nearby nature or at a sports facility.

  1. Search this channel from your teams by name TG-MoveMate or click this link.
  2. First, please read the common rules of MoveMate from the channel. 
  3. The group follows the principles of a safer space in the higher education community. By submitting your announcement or comments, you commit to following the common rules and the principles of a safer space.

How to use MoveMate? 

MoveMate has four channels for finding buddies for different themed sports. You can find the channels below the “instructions”-channel. Posts can be made to the channels either in Finnish or English. Leave your post on the channel in the languages you would like to be contacted in. You can also make post in both languages if you wish. You can make your own post on a channel of your choice or comment on someone else’s post – you can comment what kind of exercise you need company for. Posts are visible to everyone in the channel. You can also delete yur own post whenever needed. You can delete it by the right upper corner of your own post by clicking the three dots and choosind “delete”.

The group follows the principles of a safer space in the higher education community. The administrators monitor the group as necessary. If you notice inappropriate behavior, please report it to the administrator via private message. Comments should stick to topics related to sports/exercise. Communicate respectfully and benevolently.

Your posts can be free-form, or you can submit your post based on the following questions, for example:

  • Name
  • What do you study? In wich campus?
  • What do you like to do on your free-time?
  • What kind of sports company you hope to find?
  • In which languages do you hope to find company?
  • Which way do you want to be contacted (e-mail, Teams, social media)? You can also leave your contact details here if you like.
  • If you want, you can also tell your age or other hobbies /interests etc.😊
