SportUni's Kauppi sports hall opens after renovation on Mon 14 Oct - welcome to play!

Kauppi's new sporst hall

SportUni's Kauppi sports hall will reopen after renovation on Monday, 14th October, during the autumn break week. This means that from Thursday, 10th October at 8:45 AM, you can start booking badminton shifts at Kauppi. Regular and open ball games shifts at SportUni Kauppi will also begin in week 42.

The sports hall is divided into three sections, each with a badminton court. In each section, you can also play other sports like pickleball or basketball. Badminton is the only sport where you can bring someone from outside the Tampere university community with a per time fee of 7 euros. All sports equipment can be found at SportUni Kauppi – we rent and sell badminton rackets and shuttlecocks, while other equipment can be borrowed. Equipment can be found in the sports hall storerooms, or you can ask at customer service.

At SportUni Kauppi open shifts, you can find futsal, basketball, and a volleyball player’s shift (registration). Many student organisations have their own regular shifts in the sports hall. No registration is needed for open or regular sports shifts.

Shifts for the following week at SportUni sports halls will be available for booking in the selection calendar on Thursdays at 8:45 AM. Bookings are made using your Tuni-id. Cancellations must be made at least two hours before the shift starts. If a booking is not used, it will result in a 14-day booking ban. The ban can be lifted earlier by paying a €5 reactivation fee at the sports centre’s customer service.

All sports shifts, from badminton to regular shifts, are included in the SportUni fee.
